Fourth Of July Cupcake Wrappers & Toppers Part 2

To go along with my 4th of July cupcakes, I thought it very fitting to add cupcake wrappers and toppers. I think adding cupcake wrappers and toppers really dresses up the cupcake plus the presentation is spectacular.  To view my 4th of July cupcakes using coconut oil visit yesterdays blog post.   Cricut Design Space has lots of free projects you can create.  I found these adorable star cupcake wrappers and thought it was perfect for the festivities.  I cut out the wrappers using my Cricut Explore and then I created the pinwheels for the cupcake toppers.

To create the pinwheels you will need to choose double sided paper.  I like double sided so it shows both sides on the pinwheel.  First you will cut 3-3 inch squares.  Next you take the first square and starting at the corner cut up to the center.   Do this on all 4 corners of the square.  You will end up with 4 triangles.  Fold one of the sides towards the center.  Repeat with remaining 3 triangles.  Now place a brad in the center to hold the pinwheel in place.  Repeat this process on remaining 2 pinwheels.  Take 3 bamboo skewers and cut them down to the height you want for your toppers.  Now you will need to glue dot the skewers to the pinwheels.  Place the wrappers and toppers on cupcakes and wait for the party to start.
